2026 Recharter
What you need to do
- Fill in the online troop recharter form:
- Settle your membership dues.
- Submit required documents and information.
Step 1: Fill in the recharter form

Step 2: Settle your membership dues
Fees
Membership fees this year:
- $91 for each Scout for yearly BSA/counsil dues
- $125 for each Scout for yearly troop dues
- $71 for each Adult ($15 credit if paid by 12/8/25 and survey submitted by then)
All youth should have a chance to be a Scout. Financial need should never be an obstacle for a child to participate in the Scouting program. If you are in need of special payment arrangement or assistance, please contact the Committee Chair, Tiffany Mullin t230katy@gmail.com.
Adults/Scouters
- Adults need to register with the troop if they are joining weekend campouts, summer camp or high adventure campouts.
- BSA Safety Policy: All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or an adult program participant. Registration as a merit badge counselor does not meet this requirement.
- Scouts age 18+ can register as an adult leader.
How to pay
- By scout account: Fill in and submit a Troop Reimbursement Form
- Money raised through scouting fundraisers (flags, popcorn, coupon books) are allocated into the scout’s account.
- By PayPal/credit card online: A 4% PayPal processing fee is added. Click here to pay online.
- By check: Write checks out to “Troop 230”.
- By Zelle: Please contact the treasurer for details
- BSA/Council fees may also be paid directly to BSA via your my.scouting.org account.
Step 3: Submit all documents
What you might need:
- Troop Reimbursement Form
- Scout accounts: You can check your Scout’s current account balance in their Payment Log on Scoutbook. If you want to start a flag route or are interested in taking one, email Ray Garcia.
Registered Adult Requirements:
Remember: Complete your recharter info submission and requirements on or before December 8th.
