Community Service – Wreaths Across America

LIVE UP TO THEIR LEGACY

At the Houston National Cemetery, on National Wreaths across America Day, earn 3 hours of philanthropy service as we join 2,500 other U.S. locations, at sea and abroad, to actively participate in the annual wreath-laying ceremony honoring our veterans.  The ceremony starts at 11:00 AM, wreath laying starts at 11:45 AM and the shuttle bus to parking stops at 02:30PM.

This is a special occasion outdoor event and it is rain or shine. Please wear your Class A uniform and bring a jacket for warmth if needed. Weather dependent, gloves, rain gear, and a hat may be useful.

It is important to plan travel time accordingly because there will be traffic within the cemetery. Parking is limited within the cemetery and fills up quickly. You can park on the outside of the cemetery, but be prepared to walk to the meeting point. When details about the meeting place are shared from the organization, I will update members who are on the sign up.
