Each year, Troop 230 helps the Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club celebrate their Veterans Day Golf Tournament by posting about 200 US Flags around the golf course. Flags will be initially posted on Friday evening (October 28th) and then recovered on Sunday (October 30th). It usually takes about 2 hours to post the flags and about an hour to recover them. The Troop has specially designated 3/4″ dia. flag poles stored in the Scout House garage. Additionally, the Troop will be conducting the Pledge of Allegiance during the Opening Ceremony on Saturday morning (October 29th).
DATES:
Setup/Post Flags – Friday, October 28th – 6:00 p.m.
Meeting Location: Meadowbrook Farms Golf Club
Attire: Class B uniforms
Opening Ceremony (Pledge of Allegiance) – Saturday, October 29th – Arrival time 9:15 a.m.
Meeting Location: By the Clubhouse
Attire: Full Class A uniform
Recovery – Sunday, October 30th – 2:00 p.m.
Attire: Class B uniforms
