Sept. 2022 Campout: Inks Lake State Park

Description:  We will head to Inks Lake State Park in Burnet, TX (about an hour NW of Austin) on Friday. There will be opportunities for swimming, hiking and fishing.  On Saturday, everyone will attend either a Guided Walking Tour or Wild Cave Tour at Longhorn Cavern State Park.

The Guided Walking Tour has 52 steps and a few low points less than 4’8” and 4’4”.  Parts of the trail may be wet due to recent rains.  We will need a minimum of 25 people for this tour.  The Group Price is approximately $13.00 per person (price will increase if we don’t have enough people). The private Wild Cave Tour is a crawling adventure through the undeveloped lower level of Longhorn Cavern.  You will get dirty and wet, and experience tight spaces.  We will need a minimum of 12 people for this tour.  The Group Price is approximately $80.00 per person (price will increase if we don’t have enough people).  A signed waiver will also be required. For more details, please visit  https://visitlonghorncavern.com/wildcave/.

**VERY IMPORTANT:  Reservations for the Cave Tours need to be made ASAP, so please let us know your choice no later than this Sunday, August 28th.

Katy ISD has no school on Friday so we will plan for an earlier than normal departure.  Travel time to the campground is approximately 4 hrs from Katy, TX.  Our return on Sunday will be later than normal as well – please expect an estimated return time around 1-3pm.
