Troop 230 Safety Protocols

Hello Troop 230

With the recent announcements in Texas on safety, I’d like to emphasize that we as a Troop are maintaining our safety protocols. *

This means:

  • We continue to require masks/face coverings at our meetings, activities, and campouts.
  • Respect safe social distancing practices essential for others who continue to be at risk.
  • Arrange your own travel to activities and campouts.

Click here for more info on our Troop Safety Protocols.

We still continue to do temperature checks at the start of gatherings. We’ve installed hand sanitizers around the Scout House for easy access. We have our own hands-free hand-washing station for campouts (built by Mr. Smith). We review safety precautions for every campout and activity before we proceed. We will also work on continuing virtual/hybrid meetings so that scouts can participate remote, as we did at the Merit Badge Fair over the weekend.

And we’re grateful to everyone who does their part in helping the troop run in-person activities as safely as possible to keep all our scouts engaged and active in their scouting journey.

If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, please do reach out to me or Scoutmaster Steve Smith.

Thank you and stay safe,

Jenny Singson
Troop 230 Committee Chair
